As we age it is important to know and understand what is happening inside and outside of our bodies. We believe it is important that we educate the population on these topics so they can become more aware because, let's be honest, we are not getting any younger. Bridges Across Generations is valuable for both seniors and students. Aging is a process that is a part of every person's life, yet nobody wants to talk about it. This experience gives seniors the opportunity to share their experiences and allow aging to be a casual topic. It also permits students the opportunity to identify and visualize the direct outcome of the senior's experiences during their youth and how it affected their aging process. In return, this can help students reflect on their own experiences and make conscious choices that will contribute to their future. Outside the scope of this experiment, college students can develop social skills with a group of individuals that they may not typically communicate with on a daily basis. As a community, it is important to bring these two groups of people together to eliminate any negative stereotypes that may exist. This is the framework for building the bridge across generations.
